Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
Gill Media is run by Ben Gill, a web designer based in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. This page explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what your rights are.
What I collect and why
Contact form enquiries. If you send an enquiry through the contact form, I receive the details you enter — typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, and message. I use these solely to reply to your enquiry and discuss your project. The legal basis is legitimate interest (responding to a request you made).
Form processing. Form submissions are processed by Netlify (the company that hosts this site) and forwarded to my email. Netlify stores submissions on my behalf. You can read Netlify's privacy policy.
Analytics. With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it (pages viewed, roughly where visitors come from). This sets cookies only if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.
What I don't do
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties for their own purposes.
- No newsletters or unsolicited marketing emails — I only email you back if you contacted me.
How long I keep enquiries
Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any project that follows, then deleted. If you'd like your enquiry deleted sooner, just ask.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me to access, correct, or delete the personal data I hold about you, or object to my processing of it. Email info@gillmedia.net and I'll sort it — usually the same day. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
